Some people believe that 13 is an unlucky number, but I am the luckiest girl in the world as I celebrate anniversary #13 today being married to my love, David.
I feel proud to say we have been married that long and as any honest person will tell you, marriage isn't always a day in the park.
Don't get me wrong, I love being married, but it definitely isn't what Hollywood makes it out to be (although I do wish our life was a Broadway or Hollywood musical and we sang everything to each other).
Like any relationship, there are ups and downs and issues and it is hard work. But I am so glad that in all of that, I can find comfort in knowing that my partner in life is David.
I definitely feel blessed that we have made it this far and come through so much together. When I think about all life throws us, I can't imagine doing it alone. Marriage and commitment are a choice and each day, David and I choose to "stick it out" and for that I am grateful. Love that guy.
Here are 13 reasons why I love/am grateful/blessed/thankful for our marriage (in no particular order)
1. He's hot.
2. We have two wonderful children.
3. He has great wisdom and forsight that I (may) lack.
4. He is a wonderful provider.
5. He loves God with all of who he is.
6.He is not afraid to admit when he is wrong (although, if you ask him, it doesn't happen very often ;) )
7. He is a great spiritual leader.
8. He is an amazing father.
9. He has a love for teaching and education as I do.
10. He is constantly striving to learn (in all areas)
11. He is less emotional than me and that helps balance our life.
12. He is our protector.
13. He allows me to be "me" and loves me for who I am and does not seek to change me. Although, he is a great encourager of me to change when it is needed and supports me in that endeavor.
I could go on all day....
Looking forward to doing life with you David as long as we get! I thank God every day for you and for our relationship!
Happy 13th Anniversary!

I am an honest person and agree with you...it isnt always easy but it is worth it if you put forth the effort it takes to make it work.
